Born into a life of agony, occasionally interrupted by euphoria, Aurelia channels these feelings into avant-garde electronic music. At the age of 11, she discovered her love of doing things in music the wrong way, from a school production of “The Music Man” which, in one scene she, and the other musicians, had to play bad, intentionally. These clarinet squeaks and out of tune trumpets would set the tone for Aurelia’s later tonal experiments.
This isn’t to say Aurelia doesn’t make more traditional music as well. Through 8 years experience in school band playing the clarinet and learning about music theory, and 1 year of playing guitar, bass and keyboards in a rock group, Aurelia developed some of the more melodic and tonal aspects of her craft.
